COMPREHENSIVE ROAD SAFETY POLICIES

INTRODUCTION

This document sets out the policies to promote road safety for all Quick Help SAS employees, which are an integral part of the Strategic Road Safety Plan, defined by the company and are widely and fully disclosed to the staff of the company. company, through inductions, trainings, safety talks, written material and awareness campaigns, among others.

In the event of non-compliance with any of the following elements, disciplinary procedures will be followed, in accordance with the internal procedures of Human Talent.

GENERAL ROAD SAFETY POLICY

Quick Help SAS, undertakes to safely manage the mobility of all employees, plant and contractors, by allocating the necessary resources for the development of activities aimed at promoting road culture in the different actors of the route, continuous improvement of processes and compliance with current national legislation.

Quick Help S.A.S, establishes that the identification, analysis, control of the risks of the transport and mobilization operation must be immersed in each of the daily activities, and for this purpose determines:

  1. The consumption of alcohol, tobacco and / or psychoactive substances is prohibited during the operation.
  2. Compliance with the speed limits, established at the national level, is mandatory on all national, urban and / or rural roads.
  3. The use of mobile communication systems is prohibited when the vehicle is in operation.
  4. The use of a seat belt is mandatory for all vehicle occupants.
  5. The use of Personal Protection Elements is mandatory, according to the type of vehicle and operation.
  6. Vehicle maintenance must be carried out in accordance with legal regulations.

This policy is mandatory for all Quick plant personnel and contractors who carry out activities for Quick.

The Road Safety Policy is disseminated to staff during HSE Engagement, Induction, Reinduction and education and training activities related to road safety; as well as its publication in the Kawak document management system and billboards at Quick’s facilities and work centers whenever possible.

To comply with the policies, the Executive Directorate assigns the necessary financial, human and technical resources, it will be a commitment of the workers to comply with the policy approved on June 6, 2017.

DRIVING AND REST HOURS REGULATION POLICY

Quick Help S.A.S, seeks to guarantee optimal performance of its operations within the framework of road and industrial safety. Likewise, within these policies, the practice of active breaks will be implemented as a mandatory measure to promote and regulate adequate rest for drivers. Consequently, the programs implemented under this policy must:

  1. Establish rest and rest times to prevent fatigue.
  2. Establish active breaks of 15 minutes for every 4 or 5 hours of continuous driving. (Stretching exercises).
  3. Include training topics on sleep and rest habits, nutrition and exercise which can prevent fatigue in workers.
  4. Follow up and evaluate traffic incidents or accidents likely to be caused by fatigue or fatigue.
  5. Drivers may not exceed the stipulated service day of 8 hours maximum per day, and must comply with a minimum rest of 7 hours per day.

SPEED REGULATION POLICY

Without exception, all Quick Help SAS drivers, contractors, subcontractors and interest groups, who transport members of the client’s merchandise or third parties, must comply with the speed limits established in current regulations (National Code of Transit) and the limits established for Quick Help SAS facilities and its clients. Notwithstanding the foregoing, in no case shall a vehicle at the service of Quick Help SAS exceed the speed of 80 km / h on national or departmental roads, 60 km / h on urban roads and municipal roads, and 30 Km / h in school or residential areas.

SEAT BELT USE POLICY

The seat belt is mandatory for drivers of vehicles that are at the service of Quick Help SAS and for passengers located in the front or rear seats of the vehicle, on all roads of the national territory, including urban ones, and even on short journeys according to the current regulations of the National Traffic Code.

The driver and user who use seats with a seat belt installed must use it appropriately during normal driving of the vehicle in such a way that it does not limit the freedom of movement of the driver and the user and reduces the risk of personal injury in a vehicle. eventual accident.

POLICY OF USE OF PERSONAL PROTECTION ELEMENTS

Quick Help S.A.S, provides workers with adequate protection elements to avoid accidents and occupational diseases in such a way as to reasonably guarantee safety and health at work. In order for these personal protective equipment and elements to offer the worker the required protection, the following aspects are considered:

  2. Provide certified personal protection equipment and elements, appropriate according to the nature of the risk, the requirements of our business associates, their use and the PPE matrix, in such a way that they meet the safety and efficiency conditions for the user.
  3. Train in the use and care of personal protective equipment and elements.
  4. Periodically inspect the use and condition of the elements and personal protective equipment.
  5. Replace damaged personal protective equipment and elements immediately.

It is the responsibility of the company’s employees:

  1. Properly use, on a mandatory basis, the assigned personal protection equipment and elements, out of commitment to their own safety.
  2. Correctly take care of the elements and personal protective equipment required for exclusive use in the work of the company.
  3. Report to the Immediate Manager and / or HSE personnel the lack or deterioration of the elements and personal protective equipment.
  4. Do not start work if you do not have the elements or personal protective equipment required according to the nature of the risk.
  5. Report the non-use or inappropriate use of personal protective equipment and elements by colleagues or staff in charge. According to the role played within the single regulatory Decree 1072 of 2015, it is the obligation of the workers to use the personal protection elements required by the current Regulations on the matter.

NO USE POLICY OF MOBILE EQUIPMENT

The use of communication equipment is prohibited while driving a vehicle in the service of Quick Help S.A.S. The following are the minimum operating requirements:

  1. The use of mobile phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), printers, handheld devices, tablets, converged devices, text messaging devices, computers and other mobile electronic devices (whether owned by someone else or owned by the company ) is prohibited when the vehicle is in motion. The use of hands-free devices while the vehicle is in motion is also prohibited.
  2. If it is necessary to make a mobile phone call at any time while driving a vehicle, the driver must stop the vehicle in a safe place where the call can be made.
  3. Drivers will not wear headphones or other devices while driving a vehicle.
  4. GPS systems will be programmed prior to commencing the journey and not during the course of vehicle operation. The use of maps to plan routes must also be completed before operating the vehicle.

VEHICLE MAINTENANCE POLICY

Quick Help S.A.S, seeks to guarantee optimal performance of its operations within the framework of road and industrial safety. Therefore, all owners and drivers of vehicles at the service of the company must carry out maintenance on their vehicles in compliance with current legal regulations on the matter, for this purpose they must guarantee:

  1. To be carried out in the times and according to the technical specifications defined by the manufacturer.
  2. In case of identifying a fault in the vehicles, you should go to a mechanical center and notify your immediate boss.
  3. Executed by suitable and competent personnel, with original or approved tools and equipment for the function, and by a recognized mechanical center endorsed by the Ministry of Transport or the manufacturer.
  4. Guarantee that the parts used in the repairs are original or approved by the manufacturer.
  5. Each driver and owner is responsible for monitoring and complying with the Maintenance Plan of their vehicle, assuming the respective costs, and must report to the security area and the Coordinator or Leader of the process.
  6. Compliance with strategies established by the company in mobility, environmental, occupational health and safety, and quality.

As control of the organization, it was defined that the security area in conjunction with the Coordinators and Leaders of operations and projects, periodically verify:

  1. Compliance with the maintenance schedules of the vehicles at Quick’s service.
  2. The documentary records (invoice and disposition certificates by the maintenance center) provided by each driver.
  3. Constant updating of vehicle folders with preventive and corrective maintenance supports.
